22 may 🍒   RBI Governor to address PSU banks' board members on governance and ethics today : Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das is scheduled to meet the board of directors of all public sector banks on Monday to discuss issues related to governance and ethics. The one-day meeting organised by the Department of Supervision of the Reserve Bank of India is to be held tomorrow in Delhi, sources said. Das will address the directors — both whole time and independent — on issues related to governance, ethics, and the role of the boards in assurance functionalities of the banks, besides highlighting the supervisory expectations. Besides the governor, deputy governors, executive directors from its Department of Regulation as well as Supervision will be addressing the meeting.   Top 10 stocks to watch today ITC: ITC Ltd has outperformed analyst expectations with a 21.4% surge in standalone net profit for the March quarter, on the back of stronger cigarette sales and softening commodity prices. The company, known for its Gold Flake cigarettes and Bingo chips, reported a net profit of ₹5,086.86 crore for the quarter ended 31 March, up from ₹4,190.96 crore a year ago. The figures topped the ₹4,868 crore predicted in a survey by Bloomberg analysts.  InterGlobe Aviation : InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, which operates IndiGo reported a profit of ₹919.2 crore, a record for the March quarter, as air travel boomed.     Cooling Off / Look-Up Period (in case of Digital Lending)    A borrower shall be given an explicit option to exit digital loan by paying  the principal and the proportionate APR without any penalty during this  period. Such period shall not be less than three days for loans having  tenor of seven days or more and one day for loans having tenor of less  than seven days.
